Need legal advice? We can help

Where property is involved we often come across situations where a bit of legal advice and the involvement of a professional can help solve a problem before it gets out of hand or causes too much unnecessary stress to those involved. Parents helping children to buy their first house, neighbours arguing about an overhanging tree or owners being pursued by the Council for statutory notice roof repairs are recent examples.

These issues and others like them can often be dealt with efficiently and successfully with the minimum of expense and hassle if the right approach is taken at the right time. We may not be able to solve every problem, but we are keen to try.

It’s never too early to write a will

There’s a lot of superstition attached to writing a will and, for a variety of reasons, it is one of the easiest things to put off.  But spare a thought for those you leave behind if you should die without a will, or, as it is legally termed, “intestate”.

Why name a power of attorney?

A power of attorney allows a person to act on your behalf when you are not able to do so yourself, whether for the short or long term. With the population living longer, appointing an attorney has become as crucial as writing a will.

We give independent advice

We are an independent firm of solicitors, and what that means is that if you come to us requiring advice that we feel would be best dealt with by a specialist outwith our field, then we may be able to direct you to the best person for the job.
