Most importantly it’s who we are. We are a two partner firm. We are two solicitors, Bob Arbuthnott and Catherine McClanachan, who work with Glynis Kennedy, our resident Property Manager who has been with the firm since 1993. This means that, apart from our support staff, you will aways be dealing with the same person.
When they did the maths, partners Bob Arbuthnott and Catherine McClanachan were surprised to find that, between them, they have 50 years experience of the Edinburgh property market. Having spent most of their working lives in a traditional, medium-sized Edinburgh firm, they set up their own practice in 2002.
We believe that our job is to look after the legal work and make sure that you have all the information you need to make important decisions. This means ensuring that you know what you need to do next and what your options are. This may involve some legal aspects, but is just as likely to involve a decision about what price to offer, and when.
